BLOG

Fauxchella is an annual community music festival set in Southern California. Each year, we set out for a weekend with one goal in mind: To make music together. We believe that music is one of life's great joys and that no matter your skill level, you have something to contribute. Yes, you. Whether you arrive with several songs arranged or nothing but a willingness to participate, there will be a place for you. So here's your challenge: Set aside April 9-12, grab an instrument, and take a risk. We can't wait to hear what you have to share.

ABOUT

Fauxchella began as the brainchild of two friends who were looking for an excuse to gather their friends and make some noise back in the spring of 2008. Eight years later, we're still doing it--gathering together one weekend a year from across the U.S. and raising a ruckus.

FAQ

Q: I'm not musically talented. Do I HAVE to participate?

A: Well, no one's going to handcuff you to a drum kit. I mean, no one's done it YET, anyway. But where's the hesitation coming from? Can you clap along? Play a mean kazoo? Call on those middle school band class years? Then you've got something to contribute. You may surprise yourself.

Q: I'm flying in from out of town. Where should I fly into?

A: This year's Fauxchella will be closest to the San Diego airport. If you fly into the Los Angeles area, you may be able to arrange carpool options with folks who are already going.
